Several scenes from The Cherry Orchard(Вишнëвый сад written by the Russian playwright Anton Chekhov (1860-1904) and first produced, under the direction of Konstantin Stanislavski, at the Moscow Art Theatre and opened on January 17, 1904. Chekhov described the play as a comedy, with some elements of farce, though Stanislavski treated it as a tragedy.
